How old were you when you started racing ?
I was 6 years old when I started racing in karts, and 15 in cars.
Do you remember your first race if so where was it ?
I don’t really remember how my first race went, but I remember the circuit was Warden Law kart circuit, in houghton-le-spring.
Are you superstitious ?
I wouldn’t say I am no.
Favourite colour and number ?
My favourite colour is red, and my favourite number has to be 75 as it’s the number I’ve always used for years in Karting and the first two years of car racing.
Which racing driver has inspired you the most and why ?
Lewis Hamilton has always been an inspiration to me. Ever since I met him when he won his first world championship I always wanted to succeed in Motorsport and try to follow in his footsteps.
How did you come up with the design for your helmet ?
Honestly, I’m not really sure, I just fancied a design that would be a bit different.
What is your favourite track and why ?
I would have to say Spa, it’s just such an awesome feeling having the car on the limit through the really high speed turns.
Any disappointments this season ?
The only disappointment this season is the fact that me and the team missed out winning the European GT4 championship by the smallest of margins, finishing level on points with the eventual winners. In the end it was out of our hands due to another car hitting me when avoiding an incident, which forced us to retire the car from the race. In the end our chance of winning the championship literally went up in flames.
What was your best race this season and why ?
The best race for me this season still has to be the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. That was an experience of a lifetime for me, driving such an unbelievably fast car at Daytona for the first time really was something special, and the fact that I managed to be right on the pace and battle with the guys who race these cars for a living made it even sweeter, along with finishing second at one of the biggest 24 hour races in the world was a fantastic result
How would you sum up your season ?
To sum up this season I’d say it’s been the most positive and productive one I’ve had for myself as a driver. I’ve stepped my game up even more and I’m ready to go to much higher levels in the sport. I couldn’t have done anymore to prove myself as a worthy driver to compete at the highest levels within the sport
