FFF Racing bring Indian racer Parth Ghorpade in for 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo

FFF Racing Team can confirm that India’s Parth Ghorpade will compete in the 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East and Asia as the latest entry to its Young Driver Development Programme. Ghorpade, who bagged five national karting titles in his native India, graduated to cars in the 2011 French F4 Championship, but won the Asian Formula Pilota Series in 2012 to then become the first Indian to test with the Ferrari Driver Academy. However, the 22-year old from Kolhapur, India changed course in 2016, switching to LMP2 prototypes in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) in a bid to forge a career as an international sportscar racer. Having been consistently fast and comfortably matched single-seater drivers who are now in F1 programmes, FFF Racing invited Ghorpade to test a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo at Cremona in Italy and a strong performance prompted the team to add the Indian hopeful to its own Young Driver Development Programme. Ghorpade will consequently join German female Carrie Schreiner and British GT4 Vice Champion Jack Bartholomew for FFF Racing’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East and Asia campaigns. The young Indian brings enviable support from Dubai-based property development company, Pacific Ventures, which has two decades of experience constructing luxurious and cutting-edge living accommodation on many of the world’s most desirable landscapes. Pacific Ventures is a vibrant firm that’s driven by the continued application of evolvement, innovation and developing new business strategies and Ghorpade will proudly carry the firm’s branding on his Lamborghini racecar, race suit and helmet for the duration of his tour of the Middle East and Asia. “Lamborghini Super Trofeo is completely different to what I’ve experienced before and it’s an important step in my career,” said Ghorpade. “Racing an LMP2 in the European Le Mans Series gives me a head-start, as it’s a good stepping stone between single-seaters and GTs, but I tested a Super Trofeo car in Cremona recently and, while it took a day to adapt, I was happy with how things had gone by the end of the second day. “FFF Racing is a nice and professional team and having an experienced driver like Andrea (Caldarelli) as the Team Principal will be a big help, as he knows the cars and the circuits inside out and can assist with things like data analysis. I will use the Middle Eastern series to get in the groove and ensure I’m strong for the Asian series, but it isn’t going to be easy.
