Templeton and Collins Head to Championship Decider as Joint GT4 Leaders

Branden Templeton and teammate Jack Collins produced another outstanding performance at Donington Park, securing second place overall in GT4 and putting themselves firmly in contention for the 2026 British GT4 Drivers’ Championship.

The Century Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 Evo, affectionately known as ‘Chomp’, started the race from fifth on the grid but quickly moved into the fight at the sharp end of the GT4 field.

Qualifying

Branden Templeton and Jack Collins combined to put the Century BMW on the third row of the grid, qualifying fifth overall in GT4.

With Collins taking responsibility for the opening stint, the team headed into Sunday’s race confident that ‘Chomp’ had the pace to challenge for another strong result.

Race

With rain falling before the start, the majority of the GT4 field elected to begin the race on wet tyres. The changing conditions created a difficult challenge, with the track gradually drying throughout the opening stages.

Collins made an excellent start and immediately moved into second position, settling into a strong rhythm behind the pole-sitting McLaren. The Century BMW remained firmly in the fight at the front, despite receiving a 10-second penalty for an off-track pass during the opening stages.

As the track dried, the race became a strategic battle, with teams having to judge the perfect moment to switch from wet to slick tyres.

Collins completed his stint before handing over to Branden Templeton, who emerged from the pits determined to maintain the BMW’s position at the sharp end of the field.

The pairing delivered a composed and consistent performance throughout the remainder of the race. Despite the penalty, Templeton and Collins maintained their pace and ultimately overturned the deficit to secure an impressive P2 overall in GT4.

The result proved hugely significant in the championship standings. With their nearest title rivals finishing third, Templeton and Collins now head to the season finale at Brands Hatch joint leaders of the GT4 Drivers’ Championship.

The Donington result continues an exceptional run of form for the Century Motorsport pairing. Following their maiden GT4 victory at Oulton Park, Silver class podiums at Spa-Francorchamps and a double podium at Snetterton, Templeton and Collins have now positioned themselves within touching distance of the ultimate prize.

The 2026 British GT4 Championship will be decided at Brands Hatch on September 26–27, with Templeton and Collins among the leading contenders for the title.
