Disappointing Weekend for Yoder at VIR
An engine issue on Thursday caused Aidan to miss a full day of testing on then in race 1 a seat belt issue in the early part of the race meant he had to pit for the team to rectify the problem, after re-joining the race he then suffered a puncture which ended his race.
After qualifying just 0.8 from Pole for race 2 on Sunday Aidan made up two places in the opening laps and was challenging for 4th when he was rear-ended by another car at speed, pushing Yoder into the car in front of him and backwards into the barriers, ending Yoder’s day prematurely. As a precaution he was transferred to the circuit medical centre and released shortly thereafter. He has been advised to rest for a few days before resuming training.
The next round of the Toyota GR Cup is at Nashville on August 5th & 6th
