Double Podium for Kenny at Barber

Aidan Kenny achieved another double podium at Barber Motorprts Park, Alabama at the weekend in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America 992 GT3 class with a P3 in race 1 and a P2 in race 2.

Qualifying in 6th overall (3rd in Pro Am) for race 1 Aidan moved up one position at the start but struggled the entire race with the car set up and lack of grip crossing the line in P3.

Working overnight to find a better set up for the car Aidan was more confident that they had found a good set up for the race. Starting in P7 he was immediately able to attack and set about chasing down the next Pro-Am car. With 11 minutes remaining Aidan past the #282 to take 2nd place.

Aidan was also awarded the Yokohama Apex’n Award for the driver to have advanced the most positions during the race.

“I’m really happy to have finished on the podium in both races although we really struggled in race 1 with no grip. We had a much better car for race 2 and I was able to fight and overtake, our pace was much better. I will continue to work on pace as I still have a bit more to find with this car”.

Aidan currently has a 100% podium record from the 4 races so far this season.
