Kenny Schmied and Anthony Geraci capped off their 2025 Pirelli GT4 America season in spectacular fashion at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, claiming victory in the final race of the year. Despite their commanding performance, the Rafa Racing Team duo narrowly missed out on the championship by a single point.

The title fight went right down to the wire on Sunday, with Schmied and Geraci needing to win the race while hoping the championship-leading #36 BMW finished third or lower.

Torrential rain on race day made conditions treacherous, and the finale began under caution. Once the green flag waved after three laps, Schmied wasted no time charging forward, slicing through the field and taking the lead. A string of fastest laps allowed him to build a solid gap before handing over the #72 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 to Geraci.

Rejoining the race in first place, Geraci faced intense pressure from the #36 BMW, which had climbed to second. In a tense final stint, Geraci delivered one of his strongest drives of the season, expertly defending his position to take the chequered flag and secure a hard-fought win.

Although the #36 BMW’s second-place finish was just enough to clinch the championship, Schmied and Geraci’s performance at Indianapolis showcased their pace, teamwork, and determination — ending the season on a high and confirming their status as title contenders.
