Team Redline Racing Sign Micah Stanley For 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB

Team Redline Racing will be back on the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid this season, with exciting young GT racer Micah Stanley their first driver of a multi-car entry for the upcoming campaign.

The most successful team in Carrera Cup GB history with no less than ten drivers’ and teams’ titles under their belt, the Teeside squad head into the new season determined to enjoy further success and are pleased to welcome Stanley to the team.

A move into the fastest single marque championship in the UK is an exciting next step for Stanley. The 20-year-old started his car-racing career in 2017 in the European GT4 Series, racing in Nissan, Aston Martin and McLaren machinery across two seasons.

Stanley, who has British/German nationality and was born and raised in Monaco, then moved into the British GT Championship in 2019 as part of Aston Martin’s Young Driver Academy. After sitting out the 2020 season due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Stanley makes a welcome return to racing this year.

Simon Leonard - Managing Director: “Team Redline Racing are excited to be back on the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid this season. We have a long and successful history in the championship and we’re focused on securing more silverware this year.

“Micah [Stanley] is a fantastic young talent and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team. He’s shown great speed in GT4 machinery and we’re confident that once he gets to grip with the Porsche, he’s really going to be one to watch in the championship.”

Micah Stanley: “I am really excited to be joining Team Redline Racing to race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this season. The team have a huge amount of experience in this championship and have won many titles.

“We decided to take a year out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation but I have been training all year to make sure I am race fit for 2021. I know most of the circuits from racing in the British GT Championship and I have been working on the simulator at the tracks I am less familiar with.

“I’m also really happy to announce that I will have support from the Porsche Centre Silverstone and will carry their logos on my car and race suit. It’s an incredibly exciting time and I can’t wait to start testing very soon.”

Entering its 19th year in 2021, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is one of the most competitive and exciting championships in the UK. Utilising identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, the series has been the launchpad for a number of professional sportscar and GT drivers.

The 2021 season will be contested over eight events at the best circuits in the UK, all in support of the British Touring Car Championship with live television coverage on ITV4. The opening rounds take place at Snetterton in Norfolk on 15/16 May.
