Tough Weekend for Yoder at Sebring

The second round of the Toyota GR Cup North America took place at Sebring over the weekend with Aidan at the wheel of the #44 Segra backed Precision Racing LA Toyota GR86.

Qualifying took place on Saturday morning with Aidan taking 8th position for race 1. Taking the green flag for race one Aidan was immediately in a battle going door to door with the #18 for almost an entire lap until he was nerfed onto the grass at turn 3 dropping him to P11. By lap 6 Aidan was up to 10th until the safety car was required to recover a damaged car, at the restart the # 31 speared across the track and into the wall with Aidan managing to avoid the carnage he had jumped into P9 but another safety car was required to recover the damaged car. Unfortunately, with the clock now run down the race finished behind the safety car with Aidan crossing the line in P9.

A difficult second qualifying on Sunday would mean Aidan would start from P15 on the grid. Starting mid pack is always going to be tough and after making up positions on the opening lap Aidan was hit in the rear and spun, damaging the car and dropping him to P18. He continued and began picking of positions each lap but being pushed onto the grass three times hampered his progress and he crossed the line in P11.
