Tyre Woes Hinder Yoder at Daytona

Lining up from P24 in the 70-car strong grid Aidan Yoder took the start of the WRL Daytona 14-hour endurance race on Saturday driving the W2W Racing Porsche in the GTO class.

By lap 2 Aidan had made up 11 places and was fighting to break into the top ten. Unfortunately on lap 12 he suffered a tyre failure forcing him to head to the pits for new rubber dropping him down to 45th place overall.

Undeterred Aidan fought back to P29 by the end of his stint and over the next 12 hours a red flag for a lightning storm and a further 2 tyre failures for his #983 Porsche dropped them out of contention for a podium finish. A final push in the last stint for Aidan pulled them back into a very respectable 15th place overall.

Aidan’s next race will be at High Plains Raceway in Colorado on August 6th-8th
